“Let it Come Down” is the fourth single from the upcoming Matt Boroff album Beautiful Machine. The song borrows its title from one of the last lines in the 1989 William Burroughs poem “Apocalypse”, in which Burroughs describes “art and creative expression taking a literal and physical form”. “Let it Come Down” is a song of revolt. Revolt against the belief that the pursuit of money justifies any and all transgressions. Revolt against an attitude that sees outright lying as nothing more than a means to an end. In other words, it’s revolt against one’s own worst self. The slashing rhythms and rows of electronic buzz saws that surround Boroff’s howling vocals, are reminiscent of the industrial sounds of the late 80s, with a 21st century twist.
